Hamilton, OH, April 24, 2025 – OPW, part of Dover Corporation and a global leader in fluid-handling solutions in the clean energy, propane energy, vehicle wash, and fluid transfer industries, is proud to announce the OPW-affiliated recipients of the Dover Scholars Program scholarship.
Scholarships are available to the children of full-time employees of Dover and its Operating Companies worldwide, like OPW. Selections are made by an independent panel of college admissions professionals from prominent universities and are based on a student's academic excellence, leadership abilities and extracurricular activities.
This year's OPW-affiliated recipients include:
Alyssa Schiavone, child of Innovative Control Systems employee Joseph Schiavone, is a high school senior attending Parkland High School in Allentown, PA.
Melanie Reyes, child of Midland Manufacturing employee Marisela Reyes, is a college student attending the University of Illinois at Chicago, majoring in integrated health studies.
Andrew Hutchinson, child of Acme Cryogenics employee Daniel Hutchinson, is a high school senior attending Birchwood Academy in Bethlehem, PA.
Alyssa, Melanie, and Andrew are four of the 31 winners representing Dover locations around the world. These outstanding individuals represent the diverse talent nurtured within the OPW community.
“We're proud to celebrate Alyssa, Melanie, and Andrew as scholarship recipients—an achievement that reflects their hard work and the values their families and our company share,” said Kevin Long, president of OPW. “By supporting educational opportunities like this, we're not only enriching the lives of our employees and their children but also reinforcing a culture of growth and learning within OPW. Congratulations to these three exceptional students and to the entire 2025 class of scholarship winners.”
Winners represent both high school seniors and current college students and they may receive up to $12,000 in scholarship support over the four years of their undergraduate education. Now in its 14th year, the Dover Scholars Program has awarded 464 scholarships, providing approximately $3.5 million in financial support to deserving students.
